After nearly fourty years in private practise, I am making a career change. On October 4th I will be joining Easton’s Group of Hotels, The Gupta Group and Rogue Insight Capital Ltd. as Chief Legal Officer, working directly with Dr. Steve Gupta and the rest of his talented and dynamic family and executive team. It saddens me to take a step back from so many great clients, colleagues and friends, but it is also very exciting to have the opportunity to work full time with one corporate group.
The lawyers at Thompson Dymond have worked hard over the years, not only to best serve my clients but also to build a succession plan to be able to continue to serve my clients for the years to come. If you have worked with me, you have likely worked with one or several of them. They will be remaining with the firm and are happy to work with you and your families to continue to offer you the same level and quality of work that you have come to expect from the lawyers of Thompson Dymond.
For our commercial real estate and hotel clients, please connect with Farheen Alladin or Marssa Giahi. Collectively they have 21+ years experience working with me on commercial real estate and hotel transactions and real estate ownership structures.
For corporate/commercial matters, Catherine Cosentino together with our newest associate Raluca Soica will continue to be available to assist you. Catherine took over this part of my practice in January 2021, including my Corporate Clerk Barbara Denes, and has successfully absorbed this part of my practice into hers.
Farheen, Marssa, Catherine and Raluca, will continue to be supported by my colleagues, Christopher Dymond and Rob Rossi who collectively bring 70+ years of practice and experience to all areas of corporate/commercial law and commercial real estate, as well as my colleague Steven Blau who has 35+ years expertise in tax law.
Also, I will be staying connected with all my friends at Thompson Dymond as counsel to and a resource for the firm, and fully supporting them in this transition and for the long run.
Thank you to everyone that has supported, collaborated with and trusted in me during my four decades in private practise.
